Nissim Sues Time Warner For Patent Infringement Relating To DVDs

Boca Raton, FL – July 13, 2007 – Nissim Corp. has commenced legal proceedings in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Time Warner Inc., Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., Warner Home Video Inc., and New Line Home Entertainment Inc., for patent infringement relating to DVDs.

Nissim is the owner of an extensive portfolio of intellectual properties, including United States Patents that has been widely recognized by the consumer electronics industry as essential to the implementation of the DVD Specifications.  Current licensees of Nissim include virtually all significant manufacturers of devices capable of playing DVDs, including Dell Products, L.P., Funai Electric Company, Ltd., Gateway Inc., Hewlett-Packard Company, Lenovo (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., LG Electronics Inc., Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., Microsoft Corporation, Philips Electronics N.V., Pioneer Corporation, Sony Corporation, Thomson Multimedia SA, and Toshiba Corporation, among numerous others.
